For tutors, mentors, readers and faculty

Get paid your full rate.

SaharaT20 adds its fee on top of what you charge instead of taking it out of your money, pays within seven days of delivery, and brings you students who asked for exactly what you do.

Applying commits you to nothing. You see the rate card for your pool before you agree to anything.

What you get

Our fee is on top of your rate

You are paid your full rate. The platform fee is added to what the family pays — it is never deducted from you. Compare that with the marketplaces that take 20–25% out of the tutor's own hourly.

Paid within seven days of delivery

Not on the family's payment schedule, not at month end, not when a package finishes. Seven days from the work being delivered.

Nothing to sell, ever

We find the student, agree the scope and handle the money. You are proposed to a family whose request actually fits what you do, and you decide whether to take it.

No administration

No grading, no syllabus approval, no office hours, no LMS, no committees. Prepare, deliver, get paid.

Your credentials are stated, and checked

Your profile shows exactly what we verified and when. No inflated titles, no "Ivy League consultant" vagueness — the specific thing, checked.

Volume is never promised, in either direction

We do not guarantee you students and you do not owe us hours. Say no to anything, at any time, without explanation.

Who we take

Four pools, each with its own rate card. Rates are platform-set by pool rather than negotiated case by case, so nobody is paid less for being worse at asking.

Current undergraduates

At top-20 universities, recently through the process. Admissions and essay reviews, interview prep, subject and test tutoring, small classes.

Graduate students & PhDs

Research mentorship and advanced subject work — first real projects with high-school students.

Former admissions officers and readers

People who have decided real files. Senior reviews, full application programs and live Q&A sessions.

University faculty

Adjunct, non-tenure-track, emeritus and postdoctoral faculty, for small university-style seminars of eight students. You choose the topic.

The rules, before you apply

These are the terms that make families trust the platform, so they are not flexible. If any of them is a problem, this is the right moment to find out.

You never write any part of an application

You question, cut and redirect. Every draft version is saved, so the work stays demonstrably the student's own. This is not negotiable and it is the reason families trust the platform.

You never predict an outcome

No odds, no percentages, no chances, no "you'd get into". Not in a session, not in writing.

Every live session is recorded, and a parent may join

There is no private channel between you and a student: no personal email, phone, or social accounts exchanged, ever.

Conflicts are declined, not managed

You do not work with a student applying to the institution that currently employs or enrols you, and you never write a recommendation letter for a student you met here.

Background checks, and a W-9 before your first payment

You are an independent contractor, with a written agreement. Outside-employment rules and visa status are yours to confirm — many J-1 and H-1B holders cannot take outside paid work.

How joining works

  1. 1

    Create an account

Two minutes. Educator accounts are 18+.

  2. 2

    Fill in your application

Background, what you help with, availability, and the rate you're hoping for. Attach a CV or proof of enrolment as a PDF if you like — only you and our founder can open it. You see our rate card for your pool before you commit to anything.

  3. 3

    We check your credentials

Enrolment, degree or employment — usually within a week of applying.

  4. 4

    You get a profile

A public page with your name, headline, bio and exactly what was verified, and when. You approve it before it goes live; nothing is public before that, and your application and documents never are.

  5. 5

    We propose you to families

Only where the request fits what you actually do. You choose what you take on.

Apply to teach.

It takes about ten minutes, commits you to nothing, and we come back within a week of checking your credentials.
